Meet our team of professors.


 
Ricardo Aragón Ramírez holds a degree in Spanish Language and Literature as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration. He also studied a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a master’s degree in Training for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
He has an extensive experience as Spanish teacher and coacher of Spanish teachers in Osaka (Japan), Changchun (China), Dalian (China) and the University of La Rioja (Spain), where he has been teaching Spanish Language and culture since 2010. Besides, during three editions, he has been coaching Spanish teachers at the online Spanish Didactic for Specific Purposes course, organized by the Foundation of the University of La Rioja along with Instituto Cervantes.

 
Sara Aguayo Hernández holds a degree in Spanish Language and Literature, and a bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication. She also studied a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a master’s degree in Training for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language. She is interested in discovering different cultures and in showing her own culture, which had led her to live and work in different counties such as United Kingdom, Japan and China. Her passion for teaching Spanish as a second language brought her back to Spain, to the University of La Rioja, where she has been working as Spanish Language and Culture teacher and encouraging interculturality in her classes since 2010.

 
Laura Bretón holds a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies. She also studied a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and is accredited as DELE examiner. With 12 years of international experience as Spanish teacher she is familiarized with other cultures and ways of learning. She enjoys creating and adapting learning materials which meet the specific requirements of her students and enable them to use the language according to their cultures, rules and codes. She understands the classroom as a place for reflection and exchange. An opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

 

 
Esther Ramos Gómez holds a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting. She also studied a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Nowadays she is finishing a PhD in Linguistics, specialized in Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has given lectures and seminars in Mexico, India, China and Spain. She has collaborated with Instituto Cervantes and she is accredited as DELE examiner. Besides, she works along with EL/E editorials in the creation of didactic materials for the intercultural learning.
Her international experience as a Spanish language teacher, has allowed her to work in several countries as China, France and Switzerland.
