Founded in 1992, the University of La Rioja (UR) has been officially awarded as “Campus of International Excellence” by the Spanish Ministry of Education after an assessment from an international committee.

University of La Rioja compromise with research together with its international vocation, gave cause for launching DIALNET, the biggest worldwide website to spread the Spanish scientific production, with more than 4 million documents and more than 1.200.000 registered users.
Its scientific activity includes hundreds of international, national and local research projects and more than 360 phd thesis defense. There is an important University-enterprise knowledge transfer through I+D+I projects. 45 patents have been registered.
