Spanish Literature and Culture
Dates: June 24 – July 19, 2024
This course is aimed at Spanish-speaking students or students with an advance level of Spanish, who want to update or complete their knowledge of the main historical, cultural, literary or social events of the last centuries.
It consists of 80 hours of classes taught by university specialists professors. The academic program is divided into two subjects with the same length (40 hours each):
- Spanish Literature: History of Spanish Literature through its classics
- Spanish Culture: Spanish Culture and Civilization
On the first day of the course, there is a welcome orientation session and then classes will begin.
At the end of the course, students who have successfully passed it will receive a diploma stating the attended subjects, the number of hours and the grades obtained.
This diploma can be used as a transcript to get credits at their home University. The number of credits will depend on the home University.
Tuition fee: 795€
Several cultural and leisure activities are offered, all included in the tuition fee:
- Guided tour to the old town
- Visit to San Millán de La Cogolla Monastery, cradle of the first words written in Spanish (UNESCO World Heritage)
- Visit to museums and expositions in La Rioja
- Visit to a winery
- Wine tasting
- Farewell meal
A minimum number of students is required to teach a specific level.
